Chad's Conversion Story

Chad Pirotte, author of Grounded Catholic’s formation materials, brings a unique perspective to this apostolate, having personally experienced the journey of conversion. As a former ordained Presbyterian pastor, he spent 10 years ministering to a congregation. After the death of his first wife, Chad—then a single father of two young daughters under the age of 3—relocated back to his Kansas roots. It was during this time that he felt called to explore the Catholic faith more thoroughly, which ultimately led to his conversion on Easter, 2014. Having walked the path from Protestantism to Catholicism, Chad is passionate about guiding others on their own faith journeys, understanding the struggles and joys that come with embracing the fullness of the Catholic Church.

In the letter of John, he calls these three temptations “lust of the flesh”, “lust of the eyes”, and the “boastful pride of life.”
